We are clear for more canon.

This episode was as powerful as the chapter was when I first read it. That is because of Tatsuki’s interaction with Ichigo and the earlier incident involving everyone being gathered at Orihime’s house. I really felt for Ichigo since at the time he was on his own and couldn’t any help from Soul Society. It’s not that some of them didn’t want to but orders are orders and they must be obeyed, especially when Kenpachi and Byakuya are sent to make sure everyone who belongs to Soul Society returns. The punch that Tatsuki landed on Ichigo was quite emotionally charged as I could feel her frustration of being left out of the loop when she was so concerned about Orihime’s disappearance. I always thought that Ichigo could have handled that situation better even if he was doing what he did to protect Tatsuki and the rest of his friends.

It’s great to know that Bleach will be continuing with the canon story. Future titles have been released that confirm that they’ll be going quite a ways into the Hueco Mundo arc. The question is just how far will they make it before filler kicks in? At this rate they’ll catch up to the manga in no time so I can only assume that we’ll be having a filler arc or two within the Hueco Mundo arc. Probably something on level with the Bount story? Anyways, next week we’ll be getting our new OP and ED so I’m looking forward to that quite a bit as well as the start of the Hueco Mundo storyline.
