NARUTO: Shippuuden ep. 27
[ Episode 27: The Dream That Couldn't Come True ]
Very good episode. It didn’t have the kickass Sakura action as the last episode but it does flow nicely. This episode also marks the end of Sasori. Depending on how one looks at it, in the end he ended up dying with his parents as puppets. It’s interesting to know that Chiyo was working on her reincarnation jutsu to help Sasori. Either she was working on it to resurrect him if he had ever died or she was going to use it to bring his mother and father back to life. I guess we’ll never know for sure.
Sakura did very well in this entire battle. Hell, the girl even tried to heal her wound while she was still stabbed with the sword. That takes some insane effort if you ask me. It’s a good thing Chiyo was there with her technique though, otherwise Sakura would have been in a seriously dire position with a vital organ damaged. The death of Sasori was sort of sad when you look at all of the suffering he went through because of the loss of his parents which eventually led him to being the person he is right now. Well, at least in the end it is very likely he was trying to atone for his sins by purposing letting Chiyo use the puppets of his parents to kill him.
On a brighter note, the episode ended with Naruto and Kakashi still chasing after Deidara. We get to see a glimpse of Kakashi’s new sharingan right as the episode comes to an end. Awesome. Looks like next episode will be have a lot of stalling in as it seems Team Gai’s fights will be focused on. :/
