[ Episode 18: I'll Make You Tell the Truth of the World]

With Hot Evil Nia now finished announcing the activation of the Human Extermination System, how will Simon and the others react?

Yet another amazing episode. It’s just breathtaking how fast and furious things are getting already. The revelations told by both Nia and Lord Genome were pretty devastating. I had a feeling that Lord Genome wasn’t all bad at one point but I didn’t expect him to be apart of the Spiral Knights who once fought against the Anti-Spirals. Even more intriguing was that he had originally created the beastmen and Ganmen for the purpose of fighting against the Anti-Spirals. So a very identical situation is now happening to Simon and the others.

Nia’s words were pretty eerie as well. According to “Evil” Nia she is the true Nia and can never go back to the old persona once her Anti-Spiral genes were activated. Damn, that’s a really cruel fate especially since Simon had already proposed to her and she had accepted. However, it seemed to me that Nia still possesses the mind and feelings of her previous self. I say this because she said to Simon that she came to realize that they can never coexist together. I don’t know if I’m looking too deep into her words but that’s how I felt after hearing that line a few times. Anyways, I think Simon will save her especially after she said nothing can be done to change her back into a human.

Also, I’d like to stress just how much I dislike human mob mentality. Simon, Darry, and Gimmy fought hard to save the city but the idiots had the audacity to insult Simon and blame him and the government for the destruction of their homes. I was absolutely disgusted with their behavior. Even worse, Rossiu decides that a scapegoat must be used to calm down the citizens and arrests Simon (which I personally think is a very stupid idea). The very man who gave them freedom seven years ago and saved them from the Mugans in the present. Obviously Simon is not pleased by his reaction at the very end of the episode and in a few shots of the preview (man, they even shackled Boota).

Now I eagerly await the next episode to see what happens to Simon and everyone else.
