Zero no Tsukaima ~Futatsuki no Kishi~ ep. 3

[ Episode 3: The Cleric's Sword ]
Don’t tell me it’s another love rival…

Julio is a pretty cool guy. He reminds me of a character that I’m writing currently (particularly in his appearance as well), except well, my character isn’t interested in tsundere lolis…. Anyways, this episode was pretty much plot-less for the most part and only really served to show that Saito and Julio are far about in skill (and probably don’t like each other much either). Didn’t the whole love rival thing happen back in the first season anyways? Either way, I liked that Saito lost. It would be too shounen-like if he were able to beat Julio after just one night of training.

Also, Henrietta recovered pretty quickly after losing the guy she loved so intensely…. I guess she’s just not showing it or something. Agnes’ comment about hating fire mages was quite interesting as well. It’s obvious that fire mages did something to her (or at least her people or family) in the past so I’d like to see where that goes. Lastly, I love the new antagonist, Sophie. Not only is she insanely hot but she has the presence and the voice of a woman of strength. She’s a much better antagonist than Cromwell ever was at this point in the story.
I can’t wait to see Louise’s sisters next week. Looks like we’ll get to see where she inherited her S&M fetish from as well.

Those this could change later, I’m not sure Julio is in love with Louise. He seems to enjoy riling up Saito more than anything. I wonder if Julio will have an angsty past =D.
Hard to say from his behavior in this episode though it seems Agnes has such a past. :O
He’s probably gay.
