[ Episode 16: Memory of Betrayal, the Amber Smile... (Part 2) ]

Amber is so much love!

I think it’s pretty clear that Amber is in love with Hei and has been for quite some time. Her actions give away everything of course. From using her power (stopping time it seems), that seemingly requires a lot of payment, and helping him get away from Misaki by pushing up her glasses. It seems as if everything she’s doing she’s doing for Hei’s sake to some extent and it looks like she needs him at his side. I’m not sure what it is but I suppose we’ll find out about that sooner or later.

Also, I liked the way MI-6 showed their ability to work together. Even though two of the three were injured to an extent (especially April) they were able to take out Maki. I’m glad to see that July seems to be warming up to his teammates, even calling November his nakama and helping him to avoid Maki’s explosions. Misaki seems to be more friendly with MI-6 for now as well. Speaking of Misaki, I wonder if she will remember seeing Hei’s back?

I was also glad to see Yin showing even more emotion in this episode. She was quite concerned for Hei’s wellbeing and even went to run to his aid after seeing Misaki arrive and the other Contractor aiming for Hei. I wonder if she’ll eventually smile without having to move her mouth manually with her fingers?

We’re also still in the dark about the Great Sunspot phenomenon that is apparently going to occur soon. Will something disappear like with the incident in South America? Also it seems that Amber won’t be in the next arc, which makes me sad, but even so I’m excited to see what happens next.
