Zero no Tsukaima ~Futatsuki no Kishi~ ep. 2

[ Episode 2: The Oath of Wind and Water ]

Wales…alive?

What an awesome episode. The fast pace continues and the story doesn’t seem to be slowing down any time soon. One of the big “WTFs” in this episode was Cromwell being resurrected by the cloaked woman who did apparently killed him in the last episode. She should have just left him for dead if you ask me. As for Wales, it seems as if he was revived by the two of them as well.

This was by far the most emotional episode in the series so far (that includes season one) because of Henrietta and Wales. Their intimacy was as real as can be and only strengthened the ending of the episode. It was quite a tearful goodbye and quite a powerful one due to the wonderful music that played. Now that Wales is dead for good I wonder what Henrietta is going to do. No one can really blame her for feeling any type of resentment towards Louise and Saito for ending the life of the person she’s loved intensely for so long. I don’t really see her recovering from this any time soon and so she may be in a very emotionally fragile state for some time. There really wasn’t any closure in this episode so I’ll like to see what happens next with this plot point.

Next episode introduces a new guy who’s a clerk it seems. He looks pretty damn cool if you ask me. I want to see Louise’s sisters already!

You don’t think it’s just stupid how he barely had one episode last season that mostly centered around dogboy’s inadequecy, gets offed by that lame bearded guy, and only to be ressurected and be killed again?

“This is what you get for not being a main character! DIE!”
