El Cazador de la Bruja ep. 14

[ Episode 14: Maple Leaf ]
A few chapters of Ellis’ past. In other words: More delicious plot!
Now this was a wonderful episode. One of which is entirely about Ellis’ past. For much of the latter half I was in tears because of all the emotions being conveyed by Ellis for the Professor and vice versa.
We get to see Ellis growing rapidly over a period of time. Her relationship with the Professor grew each year. This is evidenced by the Professor himself. There was a time when he referred to her only as “specimen” but eventually began to call her “girl”. Rosenburg, who was present a few times in the episode, picked up on this and realized that the Professor obviously wanted Ellis for himself. Him discovering such a thing already foreshadowed a not-so-good future for the Professor and Ellis.
As we get to see more happy memories of Ellis and the Professor (along with a new full english insert song!) we close in on the day when Ellis finally told the professor that she loved him and gave him a present. Unfortunately, a car pulled up at the same time and some unidentified person exited and as the screen fades to black, gunshots are heard.
Now the question remains: Who shot the Professor? Was it Rosenburg? Or was it a lacky? There’s still some unanswered questions about the entire final scene of the Professor’s death. Then there’s the issue of why Ellis felt that she was responsible for his death (though I guess we know now why the place was lit aflame unless the killers did that themselves).
I hope the second half of El Cazador continues to roll on like this. The first half was already an enjoyable ride and I expect no less from the remaining half.

Ellis seemed different then how she usually is. Maybe his death broke her brain to an extent or her years of isolation is just more evident out in the world. She also gets around. The episode took place in Canada and they were near lake Huron, while the rest of the series seems to take place in the Southwest.
I think it was Rosenburg. It may have been a yet to have been introduced character that did it, but between him knowing that they were there and his interest in seeing Ellis work her magic under duress (the bear), he had plenty of incentive to do it.
They managed to get in a nice kiss before it was over. I’m assuming. At least it implied that they kissed.
Yes, they shared a kiss before the gunshots were heard.
Anyway, I also wonder why Ellis feels she was responsible. Maybe she somehow knows they killed the profesor because she loved him.
This is a great blog. Count me in for any conspiracy.
I don’t know how I survive this episode *nosebleed*. There was too much kawaiiness for my pedo side to handle.
Hopefully, they didn’t show the kiss or I would be dead
*nosebleed for imagining*
I didn’t think I would have enjoyed a flashback episode but it was really well done. The insert song was cool and Ellis gives me some Fate Testarossa vibes *nosebleed*.
I can’t wait to see the next episode. *nosebleed*
