Claymore ep. 14

[ Scene 14: Qualified to Fight ]

One of the best episodes to date? Yes. I can think of two perfect reasons why right now…:P

In the end, Ophelia managed to show her redeeming qualities. She really had a messed up past and as a result of it her mental state was set into unstable waters since then. It was pretty sad that she and her family ended up a victim of the freshly Awakened Priscilla back then. It goes to show you that if certain things didn’t happen then she probably wouldn’t have turned out the way she turned out to be. Well, at least with her death she was able to die in a way I’d call honorably. She somehow managed to hold on to her human side and actually helped Clare to defeat her (by staring off into thin air and even giving her encouraging words to not die where she stood). She even managed to regain her human form in death, which I personally thought was a beautiful close to her life.

As for the rest of the episode, Rafaela finally showed up in the series. However, her appearance meant having to end the life of Irene, who I might add was pretty much defenseless with both arms missing. I really was surprised at her voice though. It sounded more…gentle than I thought it would. Oh, and that scene at the very end with the Organization only helps expands their sinister aura. One can only wonder just what their true purpose is in the Claymore world….

Plural. Elf girls should be plural since we lost both Irene and Ophelia in this episode.

Playful til the end, even if she was rough about it. A naga-form suited her.

In a way, i somewhat feel the Ophelia is so confused a soul but the resolution at the very end of the show is fabulous to say the very least. I felt something for Ophelia in the way she died, and that she finally found peace albeit in a postmortem fashion.

I also have to say the next thing for the sake of it.

    “I see boobies!”

Hi I don’t mean to be mean (hah!) or anything but I’d really really appreciate it if you could change your episode titles to something a little less spoilerific please. >

@Wes: Eh, I was only really doing it for Ophelia lol.

@Impz: LOL. I wanted to say that but it would’ve been to easy to use that as a tagline. So I figured someone would comment on it so I just left it alone lol.

@Ivy: I’ll try to. Usually when I get to publish these episodes a lot of people have already seen it so I don’t usually consider it some times. Sorry if it spoiled you though. D: I’ll try to watch out for that in the future (edits title xD).

Watching Irene makes me want to play Lineage II and make a character in her honor… Never has an elf chick looked so hawt in leather. Pardon the drool. :D

Rafaela’s appearance was very omminous – being at night and the fact that her armor looks to be ten times heavier than the average Claymore’s. She takes them off and she gets a power boost?? Scary thought…And her arms – so muscular 0.0
