Gurren-Lagann ep. 14

[ Episode 14: Nice To Meet You, Everyone]
ADRENALINE RUSH!

Action, action, and more action! There was no resting in this entire episode. Simon and Yoko visited Kamina’s grave at the beginning and from there we plunged straight into the action. I was surprised at first to see that one month had passed though. In that amount of time the Dai-Gurren-Dan managed to outfit the Dai-Gurren and their ganmen with flight orbs and I suppose everyone had enough practice to use them so efficiently in this episode. Anyways, the best scenes in this episode were when Cytomander got his ganmen rammed by the Dai-Gurren’s nose and was sent to a flaming descent only to crash into Guame’s Da-Gundo. That was stunning. The next awesome scene was when Simon and Rossiu took on the spinning Dai-Gundo and drilled it to pieces. Epic destruction? Yes indeed.

The next episode promises to have Simon go up against Lord Genome aka the Helix King. I’m not sure but from the preview it seems that he has a black Gurren Lagann. If that’s what it is then I’d really like to know how he got it. Another thing, where was Viral during this entire episode? Will he appear in the next episode? Will he be the second pilot of the black Gurren Lagann? I’m not sure, but it doesn’t seem the Helix King would have a co-pilot for some reason. Also, if the spoilers I’ve seen are true then this entire battle will end by the end of the next episode and we’ll be on to bigger things when episode 16 comes around. The Dai-Gurren blasting off for space? HELL YEAH!

“…rammed by the Dai-Gurren’s nose…”
I assure you, that’s not where the nose usually is.
I would’ve used another term but…yeah. lol
KILL THEM WITH YOUR COCK!
Oh and I see what they did there with the Nia upskirt. Gainax you have betrayed me!
The blacked out upskirt shot is because of TVTokyo’s censorship rules for times when children are watching. It’ll probably be changed in the DVD version.
*forces himself not to think the question: “I wonder what color they’ll be*
…
Dammit…
