A Note to Yourself

It’s been 37+ weeks and the DEATH NOTE anime finally comes to a closing (well except for the fact that the epilogue episode isn’t here yet). Personally, I though Madhouse Studios were brilliant with the adaptation. It was more or less faithful to the manga. Then of course, the last few moments of the end. I’m not complaining though. I actually like how it was done in the anime. The scene during the rolling credits is just too sad.
Even though I prefer how it was in the anime, I do think that the manga version made a whole bit more sense. It’s just that Light really gets no dignity in the end and he dies on the spot. It shows more of his anti-hero character and also his sudden change in reaction when he finds out Ryuk wrote his name down. With that, it obviously shows that Light is not a god, only a mere mortal, destined to die eventually. Of course, in the anime I really do like the nod to L’s death where before Light closes his eyes, there’s a brief image of L staring at him.
Sadly, a place that’s neither Heaven nor Hell really sucks. I say mu to that. Anyhow, new poll with your opinion on the ending is now up.
P.S. Damn, Kagamin was so close to having the most votes… orz

Where is the movie ending option? >
This is not about the movie.
I still want it. D:
Plus I didn’t see the last episode yet. >_>
^Beggers like Light cannot be choosers. They just end up dying by the hands of Ryuk.
LOL, wait, so you only saw the movie ending?
I’ve seen manga and movie ending. Not sure on a subber for the last episode and Animanda is nowhere to be seen. D:
Animanda and Kuro-Hana both received C&D letters from Viz Media so they had to stop. Kuro-Hana did sub episode 36 under the name “C&D.” Ruberia subbed both episodes 36 and 37.
