And finally, I’m back on track to watching TMGK. I still feel the same way I did about the series when I was consistent with its entries (the first two episodes anyway). This series is freaking awesome and is personally one of my all-time favorites.

Anyways, this here is sort of an Aoi episode and I quite like her character (but still not as much as Komaki). Her personality is one that could get her in trouble in a series like this though…

Wow, I’ve really missed this series! Some new characters are introduced but I can’t say I see them lasting long. Some emo-guitarist and another guy that is looking for him. Both right now seem to be a pain in the ass for our heroes-in-development for now. Also, those two yet-to-be named characters are around again and actually gave powers to the emo-guitarist. Who just gives any random person powers?

Anyways, Aoi is basically torn in her feelings of wanting to fight to protect her friends and the innocent people of their town. Of course, for most of the episode, she feels weak yet still has the drive to want to help her friends. I got to give it to her, she’s got courage, most people would haul their asses on home at the sound of some unholy howl in the night. I also wondered about her flashbacks. It seems as if she was in a fire when she was a child and someone (a sister maybe?) died in the fire. At least that’s what I assume since the person was calling out to Aoi to save them.

Kyouichi really is a meanie. The guy is badass, that is undeniable, but man he should really know how to be gentle with girls like Aoi. I understand his point to an extent, that is not wanting to get hindered by joining up with other people in a fight but then if you can’t even do that, just how strong can you be? Not only that, but I’m sure he knows he can’t win every fight by himself. This is reflected well near the end of the episode where he, Komaki, and Daigo were getting a beatdown from the odd guy that just appeared out of no where claiming they were in league with the emo-guitarist (whose name is apparently Ryouichi). Aoi used her powers for the first time since the last episode and protected all of them (Tatsuma and Toono are still on the ground watching). I’m still wondering just what her powers are though. Is it simply barriers or something? Probably not, but I guess I’ll get my answer sooner or later.
