Seirei no Moribito ep. 11

[ Episode 11: Flower Wine for Tanda ]

Remind me either to drink or not drink Flower Wine if I ever get my hands on a bottle of it….

So here we have a Tohya and Saya episode. This episode didn’t really have to tell me that the two weren’t true siblings since I sort of figured that out when I saw them for the first time. Saya seems to be from a well-off family from what I saw of this episode and even gets a lot of marriage proposals (Tohya mentioned this in the previous episode). For much of the beginning of the episode we see Tohya depressed and the reason why is explained in a flashback where he and Saya were eating with who I assume is her mother or at least an aunt or something.

Anyways, after some words are exchanged and he’s done eating the subject of Saya being married is brought up and its revealed that she has already agreed to go through with it. Later, Saya collapses and Tanda is called over to diagnose the problem. After everyone is rounded-up, including Balsa, Chagum, and Tohya, Tanda decides that he’s going to do a soul call since he is convinced that Saya’s soul is wandering in the ‘other world’.

Tanda of course manages to get Saya back but goes on an adventure of his own between the worlds when he realizes he can’t get back into his body. I found the world he went to very beautiful and I can’t wait to know more about it. Anyways, he eventually gets back into his body with help from Chagum and Balsa.

The ending was pretty cute regards to Tohya and Saya. I’m not entirely surprised that Saya had feelings for Tohya since he’s a really dependable guy who works hard. Those two will need each other in the future from now on if this episode is any indication.

Next episode seems to be quite interesting. It doesn’t look to be one of plot progression but it has Chagum going up against a foreigner boy in a fight (it’s apart of a festival it seems. Looks like he’ll be getting some coaching from Balsa!

I liked the pseudo conversation Balsa and Tanda had. I think it showed that they think alot alike.
