Claymore ep. 11 ~ Oh Miria! III

[ Scene 11: The Slashers III ]
Oh Miria, Miria, let down your…Yoki?

Miria mentioned something in this episode that really pissed me off when I first heard it. What is it you ask? Well, it’s that the Organization is basically trying to kill them off. Four Claymore, who all have pasts of being troublesome and have had crossed their limits to near-awakening gathered in one area to fight a male Awakened Being? I think it’s blatantly obvious. To add insult to injury that advisor who Galatea was helping monitor the girls was obviously checking to see if their deaths would come. That was one of his reasons he was surprised when Galatea told him that the Awakened Being had been killed.
Anyways, I was quite interested in seeing Miria’s flashback of her first time of near-awakening. One thing that freaked me out though was how another Claymore was there provoking her to awaken. I’m sure most people know that this Claymore was none other than Ophelia. The official crazy bitch of the 47 Claymores. We’ll be seeing much more of her in episodes 12-13 though so I’ll save that discussion about her for those episodes.
We also find out the names of the other Claymore in the Top Five. Galatea, of course, is ranked in at Number 3. She’s just below Alica and Beth, both of which I cannot wait to see in action much later. One of my concerns about the anime though is that the manga is still far from finished and the fact that it’s monthly means that they’ll have to end it early. I have an idea already where the anime might end but I’ll wait to see what MADHOUSE does in the end.

How many more years are they planning on devoting to the Claymore manga? Do you know? Does anyone?
Well, the second arc of the manga just barely started a few months ago. My guess is the mangaka will continue the series for at least another 4-5 years (the manga began in 2001).
