And so, Simon continues to angst over not being able to do anything and not being able to become like Kamina. Ok, I understand him not being able to become exactly like Kamina but he should make himself awesome in his own way. Hopefully he gets over this soon enough which I think will happen in the next episode. Nia delivered a few good speech in this episode that I had to applaud but I’m a bit worried for her character. The Helix King doesn’t care if his daughter lives or dies…that could mean big trouble for her in the future. She has a lot of potential to be killed in some kind of huge showdown between the Dai Gurren Dan and the Helix King. I’m not sure if Simon can withstand another loss so soon but only time will tell what will happen.

On another note, Viral was pretty impressive in this episode. He managed to save Adiane by using strength from god-knows where he obtained and pushed away that huge Dai Gurren. You have to feel a little bad for the guy when he was getting slapped around from Adiane though. It makes me wonder if he’s really that obedient to her or if he feels something deeper for her we haven’t been shown as yet….
