Kita ze Inbou! - キタぜ陰謀!

[ Episode 2: Cyberinvestigation Agency]

Wow. This show is so good. The imaginative elements and pure fun continue to go at full speed in this episode. This show just simply can’t be missed!

Things started out where the first episode left off. That is, with Fumie and Yuuko running away from Satchii in fear of their…er…well being (would “life” would be a bit extreme…?). They manage to escape though after Fumie uses some fancy tricks (LASER BEAM!) to get them into a Shinto shrine that Satchii can’t enter. In fact we’re told that it can’t enter schools or homes either.

Eventually, they run into Yuuko’s grandmother who runs a store that sells various cyber items. She’s one weird but yet awesome old lady. I say this because later on she pulls out this cyber-studio out of no where! She worked on a cure for Densuke which seemed to be nothing for her to complete but given the grandma’s personality she wasn’t giving it to Yuuko for free. So, Yuuko ended up joining the Cyberinvestigation Agency as number 8! I found it interesting that Fumie is number 7 though, I thought she felt more like someone in range of 4-5. I don’t really have a reason to say why I thought that but oh well.

The last moments of the episode were so great that I leaned much closer to the screen than I should be doing. With Yuuko away, Kyoko began to play with Densuke but soon leaves to wash up. The furballs introduced earlier in the episode (appropriately termed Mojos) then begin their attack on Densuke. Kyoko manages to grab one of them but it zaps her and causes her arms to fizzle in and out (what the…?). As the Mojos continue their search for Densuke they manage to find him once more but haven’t realized they’ve been detected by granny. She ambushes them and starts zapping them with her LASER BEAM! The episode then ends with granny searching for the “bad guys” lol.

One of my biggest areas of concern right now is the strange dream Yuuko had. She appeared in an area that seemed to be unfamiliar to her and heard the voice of a boy who refers to himself as her brother. This mystery for now confirms that Dennou Coil is going to get a lot more deeper than previously thought. I can’t wait to see more developments on that and on the girl who sent the Mojos off on their mission.
