Anyways, this was a pretty good episode. It was very informational in regards to the background story and the Gigantics (there are twelve of them). As for the background story…well it is unique I’ll give it that but I must admit I went “o__O” for most of the explanation concerning the large heads emitting power and such. Don’t get me wrong, the concept is nice but it took me off guard for a bit. I hope there’s some more explanations as the series progresses because some things sound a bit iffy if you ask me.

Character-wise, I’m really interested in Shingo and Mana’s development. I’m beginning to wonder how much they’ll be influenced by the Chinese pilots, Yun and Zou, they defeated in the last episode. Every time I think of them I somehow see them as future or grown-up versions of Shingo and Mana. There’s no question that there’s some romantic link between the two since the first episode even if it was basic physical attraction but I think they still have some ways to go.

I’m looking forward to the next episode with the battle against Russia. That should be interesting…
