[ Episode 7: Chagum's Resolution ]

With Balsa and Chagum now in the clear they can go on to leave a peaceful life together, but how long will it last?

So, after watching this episode I felt pretty satisfied. There may have been no action and it might have been pretty quiet but that kind of tranquility is quite attractive at times. I found it amusing how it seemed most people were assuming that Balsa, Tanda, and Chagum are a family. It’s a nice cover and one that can probably last for quite some time under normal circumstances. Balsa didn’t seem that bothered by the fact that by taking care of Chagum for the rest of his and her life she would essentially become his mother. I had to think that Tanda was probably hinting that he wanted to be the father in the equation though.

Things seem like they’ll be picking back up though now that Shuga has realized that the Drought Sign hasn’t disappeared yet. This will at least give away Chagum’s supposed death and make the Emperor and the assassins think that Balsa is also alive and still hiding Chagum. They’ll probably go searching in the direction they last saw the two though as I don’t think they’ll automatically assume that they’d be hiding so close to the kingdom. On another note, I wonder what Torogai is doing? She seems to have a specific destination in mind but nothing is clear about what she’s trying to do right now (aside from what she said she’d do previously). I suppose we’ll get more info on that later.
