Claymore ep. 7

~ Scene 07: Marked for Death ~
This episode was off-the-scale awesome!
Words can’t begin to describe all of the things that happened. We get to meet Numbers Two through Five of the Claymores which include (in order): Priscilla, Irene, Sophia, and Noel. It was nice finally seeing them in their animated forms and even more awesome seeing them in action! Though I have to say, Priscilla has had a certain position somewhere within my mind and heart ever since I read the manga quite some time ago (also in regard to the most recent chapters that have been translated) but it’s hard to explain in words just how I feel about her.

I don’t dislike her character but her early development is…how shall I say…strangely unique? She’s given this personality that possesses an immense sense of duty and justice and yet is portrayed as a clumsy amateur who possesses so much power. I admit the clumsy side is very cute and attractive. So, do I have a problem with her having so much power even though she was just recently instated as a Claymore? No, I don’t think so. Though, I have to say that I found her “beliefs” to be quite humorous in their spoken form as much as I did when I first read them. She must’ve been quite sheltered when she was being trained as evident through some of her comments such as calling herself “good” for upholding the organization’s rules and Teresa “evil” because she killed a group of bandits. She also believes that she’s supposed to win because she’s the “good” side. xD
Even so, despite her naivety, I’m probably one of the few who doesn’t outright mock her character and hate her for the way she behaves. I have to give it to her though, she possesses a lot of potential and can surpass Teresa given more time. But time is never on anyone’s side most of the time, right? With she and the other Claymore’s releasing their Yoki things are going to get very interesting in the next episode. Priscilla especially looked pretty freaking awesome (and dear I saw HOT?) when she began to release her Yoki.

Well, as it stands, there are only two outcomes for Teresa in the next episode: she will either live or die. Of course, I already know the outcome but my excitement is still following as if I’m seeing it all for the very first time.
And as I read over my words…I think it sounds as if I favor Priscilla’s character in comparison of the others shown thus far. *gasp* Does this mean I subconsciously love her?! :O
