Bleach ep. 126

~ BLEACH #126 ~

Starting with this entry, I’m going to abandon the rating/value system I’ve used for a while. After thinking for a while I realized that it really doesn’t serve a purpose any longer and doesn’t really convey just how good (or bad) an episode is with just numbers. Other than being somewhat of a marker to gauge my own enjoyment of an episode I don’t think it really helps in the long run so for now I’ll be blogging without it. If you have any thoughts on the matter than please to comment on it. Anyways, on with the er…show.

I enjoyed this episode quite a bit. Sure, it lacked the usual amount of action that the series is known for but for some reason it just felt complete. I enjoyed seeing Orihime use her abilities to be able to find Ichigo. I’m still not sure what her powers are but they’re obviously not normal. After all, she was able to slip into a Vaizard’s barrier with ease. On top of that she can heal others very quickly. There are also a few other things about her powers that have occurred in the manga that further creates even more questions but I won’t mention those were for obvious reasons.

I have to wonder about Mashiro though. The girl can hold her Hollow form for up to 15 hours. What’s even more amazing is that she did it on her first try! This means that she’s either very powerful or that her Hollow was quite weak. I’d like to think that her situation is the former. Given that she has been portrayed as a rather silly and playful looking character so far, her Hollow form could possibly be the opposite. That is, overflowing with power. Well, in any event I’d like to see her fight sometime in the future. That goes for all of the Vaizard though.

Now that everyone is training we’re progressing closer and closer to some really heavy events. Admittedly, I’m not really a fan of Uyruu or Chad, so while their development at times don’t really interest me I am curious about their powers at the moment. Chad’s power I already know about more or less but there’s still some things about it that are in the dark. Uyruu’s powers (or rather that of the Quincy as a whole) still somewhat confuse me. It’s not that I don’t understand what their power does but rather what are the extents of it (especially in the latest chapters of the manga). Anyways, as for how he regained his powers, that’s a rather painful yet convenient method of regaining something that was thought to have been forever lost….

At this rate though, the anime will eventually catch up to the manga since I think the gap is like 50-something chapters or so. What doe this mean? A long filler arc is probably in the making as I write this most likely. I don’t see them stopping Bleach at all, since this is the same studio that does Naruto and who can forget the two-year long fillers of that show? I shudder at the thought of a similar treatment for Bleach but it’s better than stopping the anime, right? Right?!

Anyways, no Bleach next week due to the Hokkaido Nippon-Ham Fighters vs. Yomiuri Giants baseball game.

    I disagree…

I agree with your disagreement. xD

But we’re more likely to get fillers than having the series stopped. Yup, more fillers…one huge arc…maybe…*gets dizzy from the possibilities*

Bleach was originally planned for about 50 something episodes but since it’s gained popularity since, I’m guessing that won’t stop Pierrot from entering the non-canon zone. It wouldn’t be as bad as Naruto though.

True. That long filler arc was much better than the two-year nonsense Naruto went through. One thing I like about that filler arc is that the studio/writers still try to incorporate its characters and events into the canon story, and not just simply treat them as if they never existed.

They could try a little harder. Having scenes with Modsouls tossed in usually hurts alot more then it helps. Especially if they actually try to do something.

I didn’t think the Bount arc was that bad. I’m not really anti-filler at all; as long as they are interesting, well animated, and keep the actual feel of the show in tact; but after awhile the lack of character development begins to take its toll. The 2 year Naruto stretch was the best example of that.

Most people who dislike fillers dislike them because they don’t know what’s going to happen next. This happens with the Manga as well when it starts to get tense or stops focusing on their favorite character. You get the standard “I’m not reading/watching this anymore” but with a lot more swearing. And then you see them posting again next week.

I don’t expect every Manga to be an exact duplication in it’s anime form. Full Metal Alchemist is a great example of that. The manga is a vastly different experience from the Anime.

The Bount arc was actually okay to me. I didn’t dislike it at all. I am the rarest type of all to actually adore the “Modsouls.” I’ve never like Chad at all.

So far this season Bleach is progressing faster than Naruto. But it has also stalled each episode just enough (The fight with the “full release” was an episode and a half long than needed). I have a feeling they can keep this pace and stay at least 30 to 50 chapters ahead in the weekly manga release. We’ll see I guess.

I don’t hate fillers either. It’s just when they are poorly done is when I start to dislike them. The Bount arc was pretty good in my opinion.

Compared to other shounen anime, I guess the Bounto arc was pretty good, but I dont compare it to other anime. I compare it to the rest of Bleach, when you do that, I’d say the Bounto arc was pretty shit.

    I liked the rating system.

Hmmm. I’m not sure if I’m going to reincorporate it into my entries soon but if I do I’ll probably have the rating at the end of the entry instead of the beginning.

    Maybe lol

As long as you don’t overrate them to hell like almost all entries, I’ll be fine with that.

That’s just Leon. If you want neg rating, I’ll be happy to fill the void.
