Isshukan Inbou Digest 02: 4/29 - 5/5

Another week and yet another installment of the Digest (even though it’s only the second one…). I really hate having backlogs as it only leads to having a huge chunk of HD space taken up and kind of forces me to find time to clear it all out. With my summer semester classes starting tomorrow that’s going to be quite hard to do now but I’ll try to do whatever I can though I’ll probably be reducing such things like screenshots….
Anyways! On with the Digest!

Naruto Movie 3: Large Interest Stirred Up! Cresent Moon Island`s Animal Rebellion

[Enjoyment Value: 8.5/10]
It started off slow but it really turned out to be a very good film! Things didn’t really get started until Naruto, Sakura, Kakashi, and Lee arrived at Moon Island and that was about a little over 30 minutes into the movie. In my opinion, the only good antagonists in the movie were the leader and the girl. That other guy was as ugly as sin and I really didn’t like his abilities (what the hell were they anyway? Enlarging his arms or something? :S) or his design. All of the fights were done well and I liked them all almost equally (I say almost because I liked Sakura’s a bit more than the others :P). Kakashi was impressive too but he was washed to the sidelines near the ending, having to deal with the soldier fodder lol. Overall, it was pretty good but I still prefer the second movie over this and the first one. ^__^
Naruto: Shippuuden ep. 12

[Enjoyment Value: 9/10]
This episode was pretty awesome despite not having that much action in it. The best phrase to describe the episode, however, is “the calm before the storm”. Some awesome fights are about to begin in the next few episodes and they can’t be missed. And I have to say that though I don’t really like Kisame, the guy had a really good entrance (lol Jaws-like entrance). Though I’m sure his fight with Gai and the others will be good I’m looking forward to Itachi fighting Naruto and co.
And for some reason I find that second screenshot of Sakura so hot.
Nagasarete Airantou ep. 4

[Enjoyment Value: 9/10]
This episode was quite hilarious. Though, this was more of a double episode. It’s hard to choose with half of the episode I loved more though since both had be laughing really loud. On one hand you have evil priestess sisters and on the other a very funny ghost scaring the life out of Suzu. I wouldn’t mind seeing more episodes like this in the future since they tend to be quite fun and it feels as if you’re getting two episodes in one.
Toward the Terra ep. 4

[Enjoyment Value: 8/10]
So it seems as if Soldier Blue is out of commission (dead?). This leaves Jomy as the new Soldier but of course he’ll have many trials ahead of him from his now fellow Mu not even counting the human threat. At least now he accepts that he is a Mu and has a great power, one that seems to be even greater than Blue’s. I have to wonder how he’ll handle certain things in the future now that he’s seen how humans treated Mu in the past. Though I guess we’ll be getting a taste of it in the next episode where it seems he’ll be doing some work/something before Shangri-La leaves the planet.
Lucky☆Star ep. 4

[Enjoyment Value: 9/10]
God, I love this show. I especially love any scenes with Kagami in them. Though all of the girl together are quite enjoyable as well. I laughed quite a bit at things like Konata watching Haruhi, Kagami getting Haruhi’s chief brigade badge, Tsukasa receiving a To Heart uniform, and the list goes on. Lucky Channel was as hilarious as ever but for some reason it felt short to me this week…though that probably isn’t the case in fact. I missed Akira in her super-long sleeves though so hopefully she returns to wearing that soon.

I’m actually more interested in the Gai/Kisame fight. I’ve never really fallen for the whole Sharingan craze that every other Naruto fan seems to posses. But this was the perfect episode to build anticipation for the upcoming turn of events.
Lucky Star is my second favorite of the Spring season! Second only to Claymore, but that’s actually my love of the manga transferred. Konata & Kagami are my absolute favorites, but I’m loving the entire cast. Every other blog I read absolutely hates the show! I still don’t understand it. Other than the 7 minute food conversation in the first episode; I’ve been hooked.
I don’t think this is a spoiler, but when Konata was eating the cookie and singing it’s praise then found out that Kagami helped make them; I almost died laughing.
Funny, this week’s Digest has four Naruto screens. Wonder why…
