Darker than BLACK ep. 4

Moratoria…quite the interesting new development in Darker than BLACK. Poor Mai though, I really felt bad for her in this episode with not being able to control her powers and accidentally killing random people and even her friend. I have to say that, Darker than BLACK is more violent than I expected it to be. The police earlier in the episode got dismembered pretty gruesomely in my opinion with their hands and heads rolling all over the place.
Nasu Megumi did an excellent job voicing Mai in this episode, especially when she went into her Contractor-mode and asked “Why?” with her eyes shining. I’m glad that Mai didn’t die and surprised that she was actually able to go from a Moritorium to a Contractor. It seems like Hei and co. will be helping her live on from now on since her father is dead so I hope to see her in future episodes if possible. Next episode seems to be the beginning of an arc that is better than the previous two so I definitely can’t wait to see that one.
