Kazuma reunites with Ren!
[Thoughts]
I enjoyed this episode a bit more than the first. Seeing Kazuma face his so-called father was a real treat but I really didn’t like how the old man just stood there using raw power and hardly moved. Well, even so he still got owned from Kazuma. Though I have to admit I wanted to see a longer battle between them and not just a standoff between who can summon the most wind and fire without doing some damage.
Oooh, and we got to see some fanservice too. Ayano bathing that is but it was too short. Speaking of Ayano, that fiery-headed girl has some serious temper issues (oh the puns). She’s got to sort those out before she causes some serious damage…to herself. Hopefully she realizes that Kazuma isn’t the bad guy and come to terms with him. She’d have a much easier life if she just accepted him as an ally and family member once again in my opinion.
Lastly, Ren is such a hilarious crybaby.

Judging my the ED, as well as general anime conventions, I’d say Ayano comes to terms with Kazuma eventually. I actually found the first episode better. I liked the mystery surrounding Kazuma and such, while I thought the quality was slightly higher as well.
