I liked this episode even better than the first. We get more action and even get to know about the Chinese pilots. I found it interesting that they were husband and wife though which makes me wonder about a few things. Can all pilots speak telepathically like they did in their Gigantic? Or do they have to form a bond of friendship or an intimate relationship to achieve such function? Well, I guess I’ll have to wait for more countries to see how that turns out.

Although he hesitated in this episode, Shingo managed to pull through in the end. After all, he had to keep his promise with Mana. I hope to see these two grow as the series progresses in both their friendship (which you can already see the attraction between the two) and in their battles together.

Lastly, I really liked the OP. It wasn’t too fast or slow but it felt just right for the series. I didn’t quite like the mixture of scenes from the first and second episodes though. Hopefully, that was only for this episode.
