This entry is way too late and I have no idea why I didn’t post it days ago but oh well.

Hayate no Gotoku’s debut is pretty much what I expected it to be. It was quite funny but it’s only the tip of the iceburg of the hilarity of the series. I didn’t expect a few things though. Namely, the censoring at the end which while annoying is funny and the slight deviations from the manga. I’m not worried though as they almost always find a way to implement things that they didn’t include (e.g. D.Gray-man).

All of the voice talent was excellently done in my opinion. I specifically favor Maria because Tanaka Rie did a splendid job with her and makes me wonder what she has in store for future episodes (especially when she goes into her serious and dangerously sweet moods).

Lasty, Gendou Ikari makes an appearance!

I enjoyed both the OP and ED songs though I favor the opening more. KOTOKO always provides a beautiful and energetic opening for whatever series she performs a song for and Hayate no Gotoku! is no different.
