CODE GEASS Lelouch of the Rebellion Ep. 23

[Episode 23: At Least With Sorrow]
[Enjoyment Value: 10/10] (It was that damn good.)
[Thoughts]
Was that just the finale of CODE GEASS? No, it wasn’t since episodes 24 and 25 are to air in the summer but I think it possesses everything to qualify as the finale. This is probably my absolute favorite episode of the entire series followed very closely by episode 22. This one left me with a huge mass of thoughts and emotions though. A lot of them revolving around the apparent death of Euphie, C.C. having contact with Marianne, Lelouch and Suzaku’s conversation, Orange-kun’s return, and the list goes on. The wait for the final two episodes is going to be so painful yet so thrilling.
Did I cheer for Suzaku in this episode? Not really. He was the closet person to Euphie after she got shot but his efforts were pretty much in vain anyways. I couldn’t help but fail to suppress more than a few tears at seeing one of my favorite characters grow to be so pale in a short amount of time and pass away with tears in her eyes. That really caused me to choke up and almost stop the episode. Well, for now Euphie’s body is still being preserved and if she isn’t buried in episodes 24-25 then I can only think/hope that she may be brought back somehow. Nothing seems to be impossible in this world at the moment.
As for C.C. speaking with Marianne, I can’t be sure to say if she’s “alive” or “dead”. I put those in quote marks since she can possibly be something in between or possibly someone like C.C. since she can speak with her. V.V. the trap has now appeared before Suzaku but I’m not sure what his intentions are at the moment. Speaking of Suzaku, the conversation he held with Lelouch was quite tense for me. Does he know Zero’s identity? And does Lelouch think or feel as if Suzaku knows his identity based on the fact that he was called from Euphie’s phone? It seems so which would make their discussion quite ironic and sad at the same time.
For the last two episodes and into the second season there are some characters that I want to see more of. These characters include Nunnally (SO adorable), Rakshata (she’s SO freaking hot), Cecile (onee-chan), Kaguya (kawaii!), Lloyd (speechless here lol), Orange-kun (ZEROOO!), and Villetta (sizzling). Also, I have to wonder what the second season will bring. Will it follow Lelouch still or will it shift to another existing or possibly new character? I hope it continues to be Lelouch.

Why don’t you just launch a V2 Rocket as Sunrise’s main building for making it harder to use the name for… oh, wait a minute.
the second season… is still named after lelouch right??
There’s no info available regarding that yet. It’ll probably change though.

You see? I don’t find the humor in it, not funny enough.

Meh, doesn’t matter. I don’t find puns alone to be funny. Never have. Humour for me has to go beyond just being puns to be the least bit funny. Just using puns alone is something only for cheesy advertisements. Ofcourse, launching V2s at V.V. would certainly make my day. I don’t really like him.
Same. Seiyuu seems to sound like a real kid too.
Nina’s expression was hilarious. Like god. She looks hideous there.
Sorry am I a so late on posts but this seemed to be the only website I could find with a decent overview on code geass. Curses….I shouldn’t have gone back to watching anime…Just finished all of Code Geass…in two days…dang that pissed me off…watching the one character I liked in the whole freaking series die. Anyways, the serious should finish up in July, correct? Also, are there any other series like this where the pink haired princess doesn’t die excluding GS and GSD?
It’s good to hear you got into the anime and completed it at such a fast pace.
Episodes 24-25 are expected to air next month.
We share the same favorite character as well (Euphie) but yeah, I can’t say I know of any other series where a pink-haired princess doesn’t die during the series…lol.
wow i like this movie
