Ikkitousen: Dragon Destiny ep. 3

[Episode 3: Dripping Blood, Shedding Tears]
[Enjoyment Value: 7.5/10]
[Good: Kan-u pwning awakened Ryuubi.]
[Bad: There was barely any Hakufu until the very end of the episode.]
[Thoughts]
What the hell? Ryuubi can suddenly kick ass now? Well, I guess that’s what happens when you have the spirit of a warrior from the past. Though I’m not too sure about her basically causing her own clothing to disintergrate. Maybe she was hot? Anyways, Ryuubi caused some serious destruction after having just awakened though I’m not sure why. Is she supposed to be violent like that? I’m impressed that Kan-u was even able to subdue her after having gone in such a berserk state. Well, as for the rest of the episode, I found it quite interesting how Kakuka got done in so easily by Bashoku. I don’t know when she poisoned him but it must’ve either those chains or the knife in her shoe. Now as a result of what happened Sousou wants to invade Nanyo, the school where Hakufu resides. I think he’s much too hotheaded for the kind of position he’s in but at least he has power. Speaking of Hakufu, we get to see her at the end of the episode along with her cousin (I could never remember his name). Well, at least starting with the next episode she should be focused on as the main character yet again. Or at least I think so anyways.

[Episode 25: The General's Chain]
[Good: Nice original content.]
[Bad: Where's my Lenalee!?]
[Enjoyment Value: 8/10]
[Thoughts]
Quite an enjoyable episode. There’s nothing more that I like than anime-only stuff like what occured in this episode, especially when it’s done right. Allen meets General Yeagar in this episode which is a slight departure from the manga since the two never actually met. It was quite an informational episode as well that basically revealed what some or most of the Generals do while they’re not at the Order. The scariest part of this episode had to be the ending with Road and Tyki appearing and watching over General Yeagar’s carriage. Why do I say that? Well, the song Road sang is creepy as hell (though I must say she sounded quite pretty). And there’s another reason why I find it even more creepy…Show ▼

[Episode 8: Seioh Student Council, To Fight!]
[Good: Oh god Superintendent/Aya Hisakawa is so hot; Mei pwning Manabi.]
[Bad: Still not enough Momo scenes.]
[Enjoyment Value: 8.6/10]
[Thoughts]
So, the school fair has been canceled. What do the girls do? Fight of course! Well, with Manabi as the leader I expected as much so it’s not really surprising. I find it funny how the other school’s superintendent ended up being the girlfriend of Manabi’s brother. She’s hot and is really no-nonsense when it comes to business but I can’t help but laugh when she gets all cute in front of her boyfriend. Well, at least she gave Manabi the chance to revive the school fair. Now I want to see just how they’ll gather the signatures of 70% of the Seioh student population. The best parts of this episode, as with the majority of the episodes so far, involve Mei. I absolutely enjoyed every time Mei delivered a blow to Manabi with her harisen. It was long overdue in my opinion but she should’ve hit her a lot more than she did.

[Episode 24: Krory's Journey]
[Good: Lenalee's back; Evil, unbeatable, card-playing Allen.]
[Bad: Komurin is getting old.]
[Enjoyment Value: 8.5/10]
[Thoughts]
This episode was quite good. Parts of it were anime-only for the most part but I thought that it did a great job at showing just how innocent and naive Krory can be considering the guy was in his castle for all his life. It was hilarious to see how he got robbed of his clothing yet again. Even funnier was Allen’s past about him having to pay off his master’s debts thus making him unbeatable at cards. Oh, and we get to see Komurin yet again. I wonder if this is the last time? Anyways, Krory gets the welcome treatment like Allen did when he first entered the Dark Order and is more or less comfortable with his new surroundings. Thank god we get to see Lenalee again because I was seriously having withdrawals without her usual beauty and no-nonsense strength around. This episode also properly introduces us to Tyki. With his character now in play the real fun can begin for D.Gray-man.

[Episode 23: The Vampire I Loved]
[Good: EliadexKrory moments.]
[Bad: The death of Eliade. =(]
[Enjoyment Value: 9/10]
[Thoughts]
Man. That was one sad conclusion. Watching Krory and Eliade say farewall to one another was tough. Although, I thought that the scene after Eliade died was very well done. It was so beautiful how the rain came pouring down even though they were inside the castle. I felt as if that rain represented the accumulation of both Krory’s and Eliade’s sadness of having to part with one another. This episode proved to me that Krory and Eliade are one of the most tragic couples I’ve come across lately. It’s a shame that it all had to happen the way it did. Though, I’m sure Krory will meet her again some day. Until then, he’ll now be living his life as an exorcist so as to not like Eliade’s death be in vain.

[Episode 22: Eliade's Truth]
[Good: Eliade's back story.]
[Bad: Allen's leveled up eye has caused some heartbreak!]
[Enjoyment Value: 8.5/10]
[Thoughts]
Eliade is probably the most independent of all Akuma shown so far. Not only that, but she hates her demonic nature and actually wants to be a human. Her situation is quite similar to those the a Homunculus in Full Metal Alchemist (the anime) encountered. As such, Eliade is quite a tragic character. She’s in love with a man who possesses Innocence that is her natural enemy. It’s really sad that Krory had to see the demon behind her via Allen’s upgraded eye. However, like Eliade said, this all could’ve been avoided if Allen and Lavi never came to the castle but not everything always goes as planned. Now, the fight between Krory and Eliade betweens. A fight that can only end in heartbreak.

[Episode 7: The End of Summer (Bye-Bye)]
[Good: Ganguro Momo!; More Takako.]
[Bad: Failure of Mu-chi's skirt not being stripped off.]
[Enjoyment Value: 8.5/10] (Ganguro Momo!)
[Thoughts]
Oh my god! Ganguro Momo! She looked so hot in this episode that it’s almost criminal. They were quite a few good scenes with her but most of them had the girls ignoring her stories about Hawaii. The rest of the girls, however, were dying from the lack of sleep because they procastinated over the entire summer instead of working on the school festival and their homework. Of course, four girls who lacked sleep for god only knows how long can only lead to some seriously hilarious momments. Moments such as Mei slapping Mu-chi over and over and trying to strip her skirt off and Manabi who was on the brink of insanity evidenced by her repeatedly doing her “Forward GO!” motion so much that it was turning into a punch. Takako shows up again to hang out with the girls. I wonder if she’s the same age as the girls? Anyways, we learn that Takako’s school is going to acquire Seioh and that their school festival is in danger of being canceled. Now I wonder what Takako is going to do to help them?

[Episode 6: Cinnamon-Sugar Raised Happiness]
[Good: Mu-chi and her popsicle. Need I say more?]
[Bad: Too much Mikan, not enough Momo.]
[Enjoyment Value: 8.5/10] (Lick-lick~suck :P)
[Thoughts]
The school festival is still in preparation. However, we’ve got some more character focusing in the midst of it all. This time, the episode focuses on Mutsuki and to a lesser extent, Mikan (she sure does get a lot of screen-time doesn’t she…). We get to see how they first met and how their friendship grew. In the present though, rather than studying they both go out and have fun further showcasing just how much they are the best of buddies. I couldn’t help but think about something else during the scene where Mutsuki bought her popsicle. I’m quite sure I’m not the only one who thought that her licking and sucking weren’t normal lol.

[Episode 5: The Night of The Two]
[Good: Mei's Engrish is hot.]
[Bad: Where the hell is Momo?]
[Enjoyment Value: 8/10]
[Thoughts]
Wow! We got to hear Mei (Hirano Aya) speak some Engrish in this episode! She really sounded so adorable. With Manabi out of commission because of having the mumps and Mutsuki busy with sports, Mikan is left alone with Mei. Of course she doesn’t know how to speak with Mei one-on-one which makes a funny and satisfying episode. I liked the theme they came up with for the school festival as it reflects exactly what this episode was about: “From Friends to Buddies”. That’s exactly what happened between Mei and Mikan and it didnt’ feel rushed at all. Even though there still wasn’t enough Momo in this episode her parts were quite hilarious, specifically when she went to visit Manabi with her protective suit she found on the Internet.

Single: [Kyoushirou to Towa no Sora OP Single - Cross Heart] | Artist: CooRie | Duration: 4:18 | Rating: 8.5/10
I’m so addicted to this song that it’s not even funny any more. Whenever I watched an episode of Kyoushirou to Towa no Sora, I never found myself wanting to skip the opening just so that I can listen to this song. Why? It’s just so damn catchy.
