D.Gray-man Ep. 15

Verdict: 8/10
Impressions:
This was a pretty good episode. Yes it was filler but I don’t usually treat filler as a bad thing unless it’s done horribly. The whole Innocence thing is resolved with minimal interference from some Akuma and the father is set straight by Allen regarding his desire to want to revive his son. He was quite annoying before being set straight since all that would’ve happened was that he’d have turned his son into an Akuma and eventually cause him to be killed by Allen and co. Well, at least it was a good ending with no deaths (except for those lame Akuma lol). I’ll miss Elda (she was sooooo cute!) but I’ll always have Lenalee, who surprisingly was given a little bit of time at the beginning of the episode, to be smitten with in the future. ^^

Now this was a very familiar episode. Reason being is because this episode is basically derived from chapter 5 of the manga that was recently scanlated. Granted things are done differently in some places but it delivers the same story and lesson. I felt bad for Tsukuyo all over again after watching this episode. She loved her brother so much that she was even able to not lose herself completely to the Virus that had inhabited her body. As a result of that, despite the Virus eventually coming forth and attacking, she did all she could to help save her twin brother. Also, Lucia did a really nice thing at the end that had her looking so cute with her blushing. On another note, I wonder what the guy Sumire meets in the park is up to…. Anyways, next episode seems to cover the first chapter in the manga. ^__^

Quite the interesting chapter. Though it is yet again filled with physics and such (not to mention nitrogen bubbles make an appearance), it is still a great end to the volume. Why? There’s lots of great shots of Ringo in all her sizzling glory and we get what seems to be the beginning of Ikki vs. Ringo that will carry over to the 16th volume. More Crazy Apple please!

Interesting episode this was. I found it odd and funny that Sumire was being tested for her control over Berserk mode but I suppose it was expected given that Berserk Sumire runs off of pure impulse. Though, I wonder how her Berserk mode works fully since from the symbols shown she seems to have a few elements available to her in a given Berserk mode. The rest of the episode was basically about Sumire wanting to return to her past and realizing that she can’t. The highlight of the episode of course was when she confronted a Virus normally only to fail before entering Berserk mode and proceeded to kick its ass. I really don’t want to see Sumire take control of Berserk mode since it wouldn’t really be “Berserk” anymore but perhaps she could do something about attacking non-Viruses just a little bit. Anyways, as it stands I have no idea where VVV is going right now since it still differs from the manga (well from what I’ve read anyways). So, I’m still looking forward to future episodes and hopefully some familiar scenes.

Much of this episode featured Mei. She really is a good character despite her tsundere behavior and Hirano Aya’s voice just makes her all the more lovable (the same goes for her younger self at the beginning of the show). It was interesting to see how she developed a dislike for helping others. I mean, no one wants to have a ton of work pushed onto them just because they’re the class president or council president and that’s what happened to Mei in the past. Granted it felt a bit exaggerated but then I probably shouldn’t underestimate the feelings of humans. Though I will admit that the computer problem and Mei coming to save the day was pretty exaggerated. They almost made me think the world was going to end if they didn’t get their presentation to unfreeze! Anyways, in the end it was heartwarming to see Mei break down crying to see how much her friends cared for her and disproved that they were like those kids in the past that just wanted to use her for her abilities. Also I must say…holy crap! Mei’s body is…HAWT! I had no idea her breasts were that big! Lastly, where was Momo during most of this episode?

(SHAMELESS PLUG CAPS LOCK IS CRUISE-CONTROL FOR COOL)
Well, I’m sure every one of you hasn’t heard a single thing on the 15th besides Shippuuden’s outstanding premiere. No seriously, it was. But let’s not forget those other anime out there that we fans are aching to get in our tainted hands. Um, yeah…
So anyways, AnimeTV (hosted by Johnny Young Bosch) is finally up and as their first episode, they’ve reviewed The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya! Now, not only do they have the lovely LE Mikuru Bunny Suit figure in their room, but they actually discuss the parts of the anime that really captures the audience’s attention. Plus, we get to see glimpses of the Haruhi dub! Check them out:
Part 1 of 2:
Part 2 of 2:
So far, I’m liking what I hear, but the best one I’ve heard so far has got to be Stephanie Sheh. Mikuru Beam!!! Catch AnimeTV every Thursday at 8 PM for more reviews and other stuff. Spread the word, shmucks!

Hmm. I wasn’t quite sure what to think about this episode at first. I say that because the episode started out rather drama-filled. This drama came in the form of Manabi not realizing that there’s a time for fun and games and other times are for serious discussions. Of course that was after the dodgeball tournament but I was glad to see that she eventually picked herself up (not that she had fallen really…) and renewed her resolve (after some help from Takako, a new character) to try her hardest in regards to the upcoming School Festival. It’s just great to see all the girls get excited like what happened at the end of the episode. The funny moments of course were great as ever, with poor Mei getting her face smacked twice with a dodgeball and the yawning-spree on the train. Oh yeah, another thing I liked about the episode was the introduction of Takako’s character. I’m not sure if she’ll be a recurring character in the series but I like her a lot already. But anyways, in the end it was yet another enjoyable episode but not as good as the previous one I think. Also, on another ending note, Manabi’s brother can be quite hilarious!
No comments[New Poll] Who is your favorite OTHER Haruhi girl?

Alright! So this is the first poll post but the 4th poll I’ve made. This one is probably my favorite to date because of the characters involved (well, one of them anyways…). I hope this one gathers even more votes than the previous poll (80 votes in total). So yes, this poll showcases three girls from the Suzumiya Haruhi series: Asakura Ryoko, Kimidori Emiri, Tsuruya and Kyon’s Sister.
I’d advise you to take heed of the lovely Ryoko’s words or else you may get banned from visiting here for a while! Just kidding. Seriously, if it wasn’t clear enough by the image or that previous comment my favorite girl to win this poll (despite Tsuruya’s massive amount of followers…) and in the Suzumiya Haruhi series is Asakura Ryoko. I’m looking forward to the results on this one so I’ll probably leave it up for about a month.

Oh god, I think I experienced another cuteness attack but besides that, this was a pretty enjoyable episode. I especially loved the initial parts of the episode where Manabi and Mika were cleaning up the student council room. Just seeing them being buried under piles of boxes and other items made me laugh more than a few times. I really loved it when Mei came into the mix and basically took control of the cleaning up (yeah, she’s my favorite character with Momo in second). The best scenes of this episode though was when the girls went shopping to renovate the student council room and later the entire school and various clubs coming together to pour their efforts into turning the room into a place the entire school and hang out.

Wow. Just wow. I was finally able to watch the first episode of Manabi Straight! after weeks without a capable computer to play it on and I was quite impressed. The animation is godly and the humor isn’t lost in translation. The characters, especially Mei and Manabi are funny in their own special way. But dear god, I think I almost experienced an overload on loli and moe whiel watching this. It felt like I was about to pass out from all the bright colors, big pure eyes, and adorable voices and movements. Speaking of voices they’re all done nicely, especially Mei (Hirano Aya’s character). I honestly don’t know where Manabi Straight! is going into the future but I don’t think it’s going in a bad direction at all if the first episode is any indication.
