Otome wa Boku ni Koishiteru to get a Second Season!

Hell yes. I just knew a second season had to be coming. This news comes via MOONPHASE who reports that Getchu.com is indicating that a second season of Otoboku is already in the works. I enjoyed the first series very much and I’m looking forward to this second season (whenever it comes out). Well, I know I can’t wait for more Mizuho and Takako deliciousness (yes I mean both of them…including Shion too!).

Kyoushirou to Towa no Sora Ep. 3

Verdict: 8.3/10 (This show is awesome)

Impressions:

I have no idea why I love this show. Maybe it’s because of Kuu (and Setsuna)? No, I’m quite sure it’s because of her (and Setsuna). Her character is one of the most hilarious I’ve seen in a while. She just comes off as hilarious without even trying (is she really trying?). Setsuna…is just too good of a woman. An archetype you can’t find in the real world (no comment now that I think about it…). Anyways, the shower scenes made me laugh. The only one I liked was with the hot Mika-onee-chan anyways. Nonetheless, it was fanservice but with explanations added in about the Absolute Angels. And, WHOA (yes I started a sentence with ‘and’)! That kiss between Setsuna and Kuu was excellent! It wasn’t a full on kiss, just a peck but still pretty awesome. Lastly, I have no idea what they’re doing to Kaon (”tuning” her?) but it seems like unrestrained abuse and also Batraz is damn annoying. I think she’s the first catgirl that I don’t like.

Oh! My Goddess Novel Licensed + Other Stuff

Yeah, it’s not Christmas but it’s Urd and she’s hot as hell.

  • Dark House has licensed the O!MG novel, Oh! My Goddess - First End. Very interesting since I’m liking this trend of novels being licensed and released in English. I’ll be looking forward to this release in the future.

  • Del Ray has licensed the Pumpkin Scissors manga. I watch the anime but haven’t really seen much of the manga past the first chapter or so. However, now it’ll be easier to view it now that it has a release date in English some time in the future.

  • Apparently there’s a new trojan virus out that is using Kanon images. You’re only vulnerable if you use the Japanese p2p programs Winny and Share though.

  • Expect my picks for the upcoming 2007 spring season to be posted within the next week or so.
  • For those of you who noticed/cared, I’ve dropped Ayakashi Ayashi from my blogging schedule (for now). I’m just not motivated to blog the show anymore for some reason. I’ll still continue to watch the show though as it is good.

Soukou no Strain Ep. 13 [END]

    Verdict: 9.5/10
    Overall series review: 85/100

    Final Impressions:

Well now, that was quite the ending. I can’t say I’m disappointed in how the series concluded. Though, I almost expected a massive war of sorts between the Union and Deague since it was brought up quite a few times in the last few episodes. But then again I realized that they couldn’t possibly pull it off with just 2-3 episodes remaining in the series. I didn’t really want any more numerous deaths since I think there was enough throughout the series as a whole so I’m glad there wasn’t a sudden series-end purge of the remaining Strain pilots. Ralph in the end died as expected and now Sarah and Emily (as well as the other doll Emily) are together for as long as they live. For my final words, I loved Strain’s story and the concepts of time and human advancement and cruelty. This series definitely earned a spot in my favorite mecha anime series of all time.

    Soukou no Strain Ep. 12

    Verdict: 9/10

    Impressions:

Action, action and more action! That’s what this episode was all about and damn was it all good. I feel bad for Vivian though, she was a hottie and wanted her to live. The big “uh oh” came in the form of when Ralph was rejected by Emily during the episode. He’s officially out of his mind now I think and a person like that is very dangerous on the battlefield. Well, I guess that more than guarantees that good ol’ Ralph will die in the next episode. Or does it?

    Soukou no Strain Ep. 11

    Verdict: 8.5/10

    Impressions:

We’ve got more revelations in this episode and most of them are about Ralph. Such revelations include why he supposedly defected to Deague in the past and the reasons as to why he is doing what he is doing currently. The whole time dilation explanation was amazing since I didn’t really expect them to explain that in such detail. Now with only two episodes left I do have to wonder just what will happen and who’ll survive. Ralph will probably die (he is sick after all) but I’m not sure about the other space squadron pilots or Sara herself. I guess I’ll just have to wait and see.

    Soukou no Strain Ep. 10

    Verdict: 8.5/10

    Impressions:

Holy crap. Now that’s what I call a load of revelations. I mean, sure I had my suspicions of Sara’s Mimic from the beginning but I wasn’t expecting it to be what it turned out to be. Emily is apparently at least 600 years old but Strains are only 150 years old. Not only that but from what was presented this episode basically makes the Union look like utter scum. It just goes to show you how greedy humans can be to advance their own race by sacrificing and terrorizing another race they find different from their own. Also, if it’s possible, Ralph managed to redeem (or destroy? lol) his entire character in this one episode (although I don’t think he had to kill every last person on the crew of his ship…). Still, his intentions aren’t too clear just yet but that’ll change starting in the next episode and on.

    SHUFFLE! MEMORIES Ep. 3

    Verdict: 8/10

    Impressions:

Asa-senpai! I adored this girl in the original series. She’s such so feminine yet at the same time is as strong as a guy (I bet Rin’s back gets numb automatically with just one of her slaps lol). The episode basically covered Asa’s fun and upbeat personality and her relationship with Rin. I teared up once again when hearing Asa’s story of when she was younger and how she used to treate Ama because of her pain. Anyways, I can’t wait to see the second half of Asa’s story in the future. But until then, next episode is devoted to Nerine.

Oh yes, and Ama is still one of the hottest MILFs in anime history.
