CODE GEASS Lelouch of the Rebellion Ep. 13

My Verdict: 9/10
Impressions:
I’ll say it first and get it over with. The new OP fails but the new ED rocks. Otherwise, this was quite the interesting episode. I mean, Lelouch actually has feelings? Okay, I’m just kidding with that sentence. However, it was insightful to see him behaving in such a way after attending the funeral of Shirley’s father. And leave it up to C.C. (with CHEESE-KUN!) to rub it into his face about his emotions. Although I will admit she has a point about the taking of lives. However, I have to say that both Suzaku and Shirley really messed up Lelouch/Zero’s plans this episode. It was absolutely annoying.

Ah…Shirley. Shirley, Shirley, Shirley. Well, I don’t know what to say about her really. Though I think she should have believed in Lelouch and not listen to Villetta’s theories. I know she’s been through a lot but she should have just not paid any mind to Villetta and believe in Lelouch (even though the Order is supposedly responsible for her father’s death). Also, Lelouch is purely awesome. I loved how he blew up the Liberation Front along with Cornelia’s troops. He knows what must be done to achieve his goals despite his earlier feelings in the episode, that’s for sure. As for Suzaku, he really needs to decide what he believes in. He doesn’t seem to like killing people yet he joins the army? He’s calling Lelouch/Zero a murderer when he himself is one? Give me a break Suzaku. I don’t hate you or anything but some of the things you say are really retarded.

Next Episode: Stage 14

I think we can all agree how much the new OP fails horribly at life and that the new ED is better than the first ^^
And Suzaku frustrates me. I mean, he means well and all, but he really shouldn’t talk and critize Zero. I don’t even know what to think of Shirley anymore xD
lol
Jinn’s song doesn’t bother me really. I guess the sequence itself is done poorly. *shrugs*
And yeah, Suzaku, like I said I don’t hate the guy. But he really says some annoying things. He’s scolding Zero about what he does when he himself isn’t any better? Come now Suzaku, there’s a limit to the amount of stupid things one can say/do…
I like the Jinn song, I also think the sequence was laziness at its best. Suzaku’s hypocrisy brings out the very nature of warfare. There is no justice on the battlefield. To think so is just ridiculous. Both sides kill people to achieve their ends. Britannia is only worse because they attempt to erase cultural identity. But then again the only way to truly conquer is to erase cultural identity and fully assimilate an area. So no one is right in this one. Lulu and Suzaku’s ideals are both hollow and narrow minded. End of story.
Oh and Shirley’s not going to die it’s an obvious trick. If she were to die next episode it would be too predictable. Perhaps later on maybe. But not next episode.
down with Suzaku! xD
Shirley..I hope she doesn’t die. That’s for sure.
And, that Mao guy is just confusing me. All he’s doing is walking around and grinning. Like, do something already!
^That’s why the next episode is Geass vs. Geass.
Also, FTR, that should be me in the third screencap. I’d definitely take that Cheese-kun away from her. *evil grin*
….what? Oh, and hit C.C. Right, forgot…
Hmm. I wonder how the Geass vs. Geass will turn out. Can a Geass user even affect another Geass user? I guess we’ll find out in the next episode. lol
And..”hit” C.C. eh…:P
I cant say I really liked this series but hey they kept pizza hut pizza hut lol, unlike wacdonalds rofl
