I felt very bad for Suigintou!! When I watched the Ouverture, I finally understood why Suigintou and Shinku
were having a so-called sibling rivalry. But…it says here in the Wikipedia that Suigintou had a number of unique traits and flaws amongst the seven Rozen Maiden. In the anime, she was missing her torso; Shinku does explain at one point that before Suigintou was completed, her design was erased. (She gives no further information as to why and how.) In the Ouverture, it is shown that Rozen abandoned her half-completed form in two parts on his worktable.She was never assembled–although her clothing was completed–and as such,not initially given the life force that is a Rosa Mystica. (It was her love for Rozen that brought her to life.) Rozen does later provide her with a Rosa Mystica, only after she is sliced in half by Souseiseki and presumably fated to fade out of existence. Also, she is the only Rozen Maiden to have been defeated and revived THREE times!!! (Wow!) So, their father, Rozen really isn’t this bastard that everyone thinks he is. It’s shown in the Rozen Maiden Traumend finale that he is lovingly fixing her neck ribbon as she is sleeping.He even grips her gently around the waist afterwards, implying that he has mended her incomplete body. T_T I just feel so sad that the first doll of the Rozen Maiden collection had to suffer that much pain. I really hope a season three comes! The anime is very touching and truly amazing! =)

i loved the ouverture. it made me develop a love for Suigintou. she’s so adorable and it’s so sad that Rozen left her. i wanted to cry when she was crying and when Shinku was crying at the end of the second episode. so sad T_T

overall, amazing anime!

Not to mention there are still quite a few things left unsolved. It’s just a matter of when an announcement of the third season will come.

there will be a season three, because there’s no information about the seventh doll, kirakishou (the one who looks just like barasuishou, only with lighter colors and the patch on her right eye, not the left).
or so it would seem, either it would be plain stupid to show kirakishou and tell nothing about her.

There has to be a season 3 sometime in the future!

As for Suigintou-sama, she definitely had a tough life from the very beginning. This OVA cleared up a lot of things about her and I hope it makes other (reasonable and sensible) fans embrace her character much more than ever.

The first part was so incredibly sad and painful…Poor Suigintou T_T I hate that Rozen guy so much, really words can’t describe how much I hate him for doing this to Suigintou…He should be tortured in a slow and painful way for doing this to Suigintou!!! >:-O

And what I really wondered about…Even though Father stopped building Suigintou she still knows her own name (Because she did say her name when Shinku asked her). How did she get to know her own name when Rozen didn’t finish her? Did he tell Suigintou her name while she was awake before he abandonned her? I honestly can’t think of any other reason why she would know…If he did that then it’s really obvious that Rozen was aware that she was awake and still abandonned and neglected her like that!! What a bastard that dude is…>:-(

Suigintou had such bad life and fate… Hopefully she will get some happiness in season 3, if there’s ever a season 3 (and I really hope Megu doesn’t die in season 3, that would be so sad for Suigintou T_T ).
