D.Gray-man Ep. 12

Impressions:

Very good episode in my opinion. Not only does it mark the end of the Miranda arc but it also introduces us to Lavi and Bookman! There’s just a few things I’d like to point out and comment on.

Kekkaishi Ep. 3

Impressions:

Man, either my eyes are warped or the animation for this series is just that outstanding. I can only hope the high quality stays constant. Anyways, this episode introduces us to a few scenes of Tokine’s past involving her father. He was a great Kekkaishi from what I can tell but sadly he died protecting his family one night. We also learn that Yoshimori’s mother is also a Kekkaishi but is often away performing her duties elsewhere. The new character, Yomi, is an ogre user who uses the cover of being on a mission of surveillance to stay in Tokine’s household for a while. However, her intentions were anything but pure as she quickly drugged Yoshimori during a night of patrol and then declares that she’ll be taking the land for herself. Yomi says all of this of course to Tokine while mentioning how much she despised her father. The episode ends with a cliffhanger of Yoshimori waking up and struggling to get free to help Tokine who is currently in danger of being crushed by Yomi’s ogre, Yoki. Somehow I don’t think Yomi is as bad as she makes herself seem to be. This is because of the preview for the next episode where she can be seen smiling with her ogre and being consoled by Tokine’s father in the past.

Wildfire Report: Haruhi Officially Coming to America!

Yup. It’s finally official. The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya will be released by Kadokawa Pictures USA and distributed by Bandai Entertainment. I sense a strong disturbance in my wallet for when the first DVD hits US shores. >_<

Oh and do check out the updated site. There’s a hilarious video now streaming and there should be an update later.

Being one of my favorite series of all time I’ll continue to cover anything and everything tha tis Haruhi. So yeah, I just wanted to make that clear. ^_^

Rewind: Rozen Maiden Träumend - Return of the DESU!

Rozen Maiden Träumend returns with yet again wonderful music. Most of it comes from the first series but the opening and ending themes are totally new. Once again ALI PROJECT graces the series with a wonderful piece and the ending is just as good as the previous one in the first series. I was wondering what to expect from Träumend since my favorite character, Suigintou, was trashed at the end of Rozen Maiden. Or was she?

Wildfire Report: Kadokawa Pictures USA licenses Haruhi? Zero no Tsukaima Second Season Confirmed!

There are now talks about Kadokawa Pictures USA. If you don’t know about them they’re the company who licensed Full Metal Panic: The Second Raid for US distribution. It seems as if it is now a pretty sure bet that the Haruhi series was licensed by them and, if and when they officially announce it, this would be their second licensed title. For evidence of the claim of Kadokawa Pictures USA appearing in the site coding head on over to moetron. It seems as if it was immediately updated after it was found out that an error revealed ‘kadousa’ in the site coding.

I think it’s safe to say that KadoUSA will be the ones doing the announcement on December 22. There’s only two more days until everything is officially stated.

Also in other news, Zero no Tsukaima has officially been granted a second season. According to MOONPHASE it was revealed in various sources, such as the fourth DVD. No air dates have been stated as of yet but my guess is that it’ll be released some time during the summer or fall of next year.

Rewind: Rozen Maiden - DESU!

Feeling my curiosity spurn out of control, I’ve finally started to watch Rozen Maiden. I wouldn’t really call it an old series as it aired in 2004 but it’s been almost three years since then so it’s definitely on my Rewind. “Rewind” speaks for itself I think but I’ll still explain it: It’s basically a category/feature featuring old anime that I’ve either started, half completed, or completed. Some of the titles I’ve chosen for Rewind are ones that I’ve personally never gotten the chance to watch until now because of hectic schedules but now I hope to get at least 4-5 of them out. So, without further delay here’s my first Rewind on Rozen Maiden!

CODE GEASS Lelouch of the Rebellion Ep. 10

Impressions:

This episode displays why Geass is such an entertaining series. This episode marks when Kallen gets her Guren Nishiki. It’s such an awesome Knightmare that is definitely reminiscent of Evangelion Unit 02 (Danny had similar views as well as a fellow Evangelion fan). Its special technique is simply badass. I was amazed at how the technique caused such a massive landslide and basically reduced Jeremiah’s Knightmare to garbage (poor guy going insane…Orange-kun lol)! Putting that aside, Tongou of the JLF seems to be on his way to the fighting grounds and probably fight Cornelia next episode. I’m concerned about that battle but I hope Cornelia makes it out alive. As for Kallen I would think her opponent would be Suzaku. God, I want to see her kick his ass with her new “PWN”-age right arm.

CODE GEASS Lelouch of the Rebellion Ep. 9

Impressions:

Very much a Kallen-focused episode. Geass continues to be more and more enjoyable as the weeks go by and this episode further proves it. Here we find out about Kallen’s real mother and how she’s an Eleven. Sadly, she doesn’t seem to like her mother that much from most of the behavior she displays in the episode. But that’s not the case by the end of the episode after she finds out why her mother endured staying in the same house as her stepmother and former lover. It was to be near Kallen and to watch over her. Pretty sad really…but at least the ending gives us a sense of hope for her mother. On a final note, the Order of the Black Knights are getting super popular! XD

Red Garden Ep. 10

Impressions:

I probably won’t be doing a full summary but you can check out Impz’s.

Anyways, there’s more Lise this episode. The poor girl really looks lost (a pun on the title I think). If only she knew what her body is being planned to be used for. The girls are given a glimpse of what the people who turn into monsters look like before they do so. Well, they live like normal people of course. On another note, I couldn’t help but laugh when Lula and her guy assistant played the role of a flirting couple when their potential target walked past them. Another funny moment was when Kate tried to do push-ups. She’s probably my favorite girl out of the group but I couldn’t hold back the laughter. However, that’s apparently where the funny things end for this episode. The girls end up meeting the same man yet again, but after he’s turned into a monster. They dispose of him but not before Claire has complications delivering the killing blow because of knowing who he was and that he has a wife. Lula reveals that they’ve tried to find another way to deal with the Delor clan before it came down to having to kill them but failed. The episode ends with the old man and Dr. Bender discussing yet again that Lise is their last hope and that she can reproduce. Great episode.

Red Garden Ep.8&9

Impressions:

Episode 8 was very…different from the others. It shows the girls getting to like each others’ company more. A much needed break from the angst and questions with no answers. It was basically a ‘feel good’ episode. All the girls got together at Claire’s place to eat together and at the end they all sang a beautiful song together. So yeah, a great episode but I have to wonder if there will be anymore like this in the future.
