ASOS Brigade’s 2nd Choice - Yuki Nagato!!!
That’s right, the second voice choice poll is now up, and this time its for our beloved alien Yuki! It’s simple, just head on over to ASOS Brigade, listen to the four choices, then vote!
#1 is Kate Higgins (Sakura of Naruto), #2 I have no idea and IMO, doesn’t match, #3 is Michelle Ruff (Rukia of Bleach), and last but not least, it’s Stephanie Sheh yet again, (Eureka of Eureka Seven).
Personally, it’s either #1 or #3 that I find the best. (Just look at the results!) But in the end, I myself, chose #3. Happy voting!
BTW, it seems they’ve now fixed their video with subtitles where they should be… I assume. Yay, my name’s in the credits! Don’t worry Bandai Ent./Kadokawa Pictures USA. Rest assured, I will definitely pick up your DVDs. =D
Bakumatsu Kikansetsu Irohanihoheto Ep.6&7
Bakumatsu Kikansetsu Irohanihoheto Episode 6

Impressions/Thoughts:
The “Kill, Kill, Kill” triplets return and Kanna is working with the enemy? We have yet another heavy episode. Those guys who were plotting to kill the English got themselves killed instead (and looks like the brothel got burned down =/). The play got interrupted once again by the “Kill, Kill, Kill” triplets but thank goodness Akidzuki finally killed them! Kanna also assisted but I’m still not too sure about his allegiances…
I have to wonder where they story is going from here. Akidzuki still hasn’t sealed the The Lord’s Head as yet and Kakunojo and her troupe still haven’t dealt with the person trying to assassinate her. Kanna is drifting between ally and enemy. A war seems to be on the horizon. There’s just so much things going on as well as history being told. I can’t wait to see more of the plot unravel.

I’m trying out a new style starting with this entry. Most likely I’ll use this method whenever I’m behind in a series I think, but as for the screenshots it’s something I’m testing out as well since it saves me a lot of work. With that said on with my impressions/thoughts of BKI eps.4&5!

Bakumatsu Kikansetsu Irohanihoheto Episode 4

Impressions/Thoughts:
God, it’s been so long since I’ve watched that I fell in love with BKI once again. This episode continues from the previous one with the gunman escaping from Akidzuki and the Kakunojo Troupe. From what I gathered, the play that they were going to put on seemed to reveal a scandal of sorts and someone wanted it stopped before that could happen. The gunman returned to finish the job of killing Yuyama but much to his dismay he did not know that Akidzuki was protecting the troupe during the play.
I loved the way they improvised during the play to cover up all the madness that was being caused by the gunman. It’s been a while since I was holding my breath for each scene that passed by. My heart was racing to see if Akidzuki was really going to kill the gunman on stage in front of the crowd, and he did. That’s why he rocks. This entire scandal business and Akidzuki’s goal to cut the thing he encountered in the first episode continues to intrigue me and I hope to find out more about them as I watch the episodes.
2 commentsNHK ni Youkoso! Review

I’m going to just come right out and say it. I loved the anime adaptation of NHK ni Youkoso to death. I know there are many who dislike it simply because it was handled by GONZO and others who dislike it because it strays from the manga storyline but I think they are people who are just nitpicking. But that is their opinion. This review is solely my own opinion on what I feel is one of the best series of 2006.
NHK ni Youkoso was very thought-provoking in my eyes. Seeing Satou at his lowest and somehow being able to climb back up to an acceptable level of being a human was one of the most painful and emotional things I’ve seen in animation. Seeing all of his friends such as Yamazaki, Hitomi, Iincho, and most of all, Misaki interact with him was always a treat whether something good or bad was happening.
3 commentsThis just in: Mother pays price of Wii to suck wii for a Wii! Equivalent Exchange?! Also, prices for PS3s on eBay go OVER NINE THOUSAND!!!

Thanks to abq0 over at lolitron for posting about this trippy story first. I’d like to quote my colleague Youko about this “I believe a mandatory “LAAAAAAAWL” is in order.”. Also, he gave me the post title.
Personally I just don’t know what to say. Is she a good mother or a bad one? On one hand she’s going to great lengths to acquire a Nintendo Wii for her kid(s). But on the other it seems as if she simply wants to suck some…wii. Or play with one along with her kids. Er…the console I meant. Yeah. Then again, it’s most likely a bluff. After all, women wouldn’t really do that… would they? Maybe for a PS3… a 20 GB one at that! HAHAHA!
In other news/stuff, High School of the Dead chapter 5 was released by XLG and just before Christmas too (at least for me).
No commentsMerry Christmas to All!

Happy Holidays! It’s not Christmas here just yet but it is a few hours away. Depending on the gifts I get I may have some delays in blog entries. If that does happen you can simply blame it on Final Fantasy XII and Xenosaga III.
Random stuff: I may decide to start blogging Keroro Gunso and as a result of my years of GITS obsession I’ll most likely be re-watching the series and blogging it too.
Negima!? Ep. 9

Impressions:
I’m probably one of the biggest Mana fans out there when it comes to Negi. So truth be told I freaked out when she appeared in this episode. It sucks that it was only for a brief minute or so but still I was glad to see her. Of course she was cleaning her big gun as usual. XD It was hilarious when she denied Yuuna permission to see her gun on the spot though. Also, I need more of Ayaka! Why isn’t she being shown more as well?!She was just so hot and awesome in this episode that you just got to love her.

Impressions:
Nothing much really occured in this episode. Aside from chronicling the journey of the twins to become adults the only things noteworthy plot-wise were the provisional contracts of Fumika and Fuuka and the introduction of Black Rose Baron. The exploration of Library Island brought back some fond memories of the manga for me as well. There were some funny moments like Secchan setting off traps while in awe of some books of her clan and Asuna constantly triggering off traps and falling into them (LOL). But what the hell was up with the library? Was that New York inside of it?! And a desert as well as a tropical island? I was rolling on the floor with laughter. Also, who is Black Rose Baron. They seem much too feminine to be a man or Negi’s father…
IT’S A PLOT TWIST!
Also I loved the very end of the episode. The videgame parody was priceless! XD
No commentsKZI Winter Anime Selection
Leon (and Youko) here. Well, the winter season is here (well it’s been here/started for a while now) and so that means it’s time for choosing what I’m going to watch. There’s no way that I’m writing up or watching/blogging all of them but I will write on the ones that I’ll be checking out (obviously). I can’t say exactly which shows I’m going to blog but it probably won’t be more than 4-5 since there’s still a few I’m watching from the past season. However, I will probably blog the first episodes of everything that interests me/that I’ll be watching. Note that we may watch other stuff not listed here, but why mention them? Spring is where it’s at!
The spring selection list will probably be twice as long. Maybe. Who knows. But there are a lot of new and interesting shows are appearing in that season. So I’m sure I’ll be checking/watching/blogging a good portion of them. God, it’s a good thing that I’m taking only two classes next semester otherwise…
5 commentsKekkaishi Ep. 4

Impressions:
As I thought, Yomi wasn’t really as bad as she made herself to be. I had expected a story behind her actions and now I understand why she did what she did. Constantly being ridiculed and put down as a child by adults she seeked to gain more power for her ogre, Yomi. But because of the adults treating her bad she developed distrust for them. This would include Tokine’s father as well who was a good man. It’s a pity that at the end when they actually achieved the power that they seeked for (well, more accurately Yoki anyways) that Yoki decided he didn’t need his master anymore and went berserk and eventually got himself killed. Although I must say it was pretty heartwarming at the end when Yoki came back in super-mini form.
