Kita ze Inbou! - キタぜ陰謀!

Impressions:

Very good episode in my opinion. Not only does it mark the end of the Miranda arc but it also introduces us to Lavi and Bookman! There’s just a few things I’d like to point out and comment on.

Much of the episode reveals what Miranda’s Innocence ability, which is to rewind time within a given area. In other words, if someone is injured she can cast away the time at which the injuries occurred for a set amount of time or until she can’t use her power any longer. Both Allen and Lenalee realize early on in the episode but Road also catches on and when she does she doesn’t hesitate to attack them herself. That is, after she orders the Akuma to self-destruct to show Allen that when they die from something other than an Innocence, the soul of the person trapped in the Akuma also dies (man she’s evil when she’s ready). Allen immediately tries to kill it first but fails as Lenalee keeps him from going too close. When he snaps at her she promptly slaps him hard. I think he had it coming because he was behaving recklessly at that point and didn’t realize that she was doing it to save his life. After that, Road leaves and everything returns to normal. Or at least it does after Miranda deactivates her Innocence which in turn brings back the injuries Allen and Lenalee had previously.

Next is Lavi. His voice suits him well in my opinion since I always thought of him as the guy with a high-pitched voice when I read the manga. Also, I’m glad Miranda decided to be an Exorcist. It’ll be a dangerous path but at least she can feel useful to others from now on.
