Kita ze Inbou! - キタぜ陰謀!

Impressions:

First thing’s first, the uniform change! The new uniforms look great, especially on girls like Takako. I like how they even altered the OP and ED animations to include the uniform change as well. This episode was mainly a character-focus on Kana who runs into trouble with the Student Council because of her ribbon. I must say, despite Takako’s unfair judgment I still love her but she didn’t really have to go so far as basically calling Kana out and telling her that the ribbon has to go. Anyways, I was glad to see Mizuho decide quickly to protect and support Kana. From there with the help of Shion and Mariya, Mizuho issues a formal concern with regards to the Student Council’s management.

Skip to Kana being bullied by some girls because of her devotion to Mizuho (and because she lets Mizuho cover for her violations according to their accusations). “That’s just not right,” was what I thought immediately. Nothing personal to the girls responsible but really they should not be so quick to judge others (I wonder if they’re responsible for her bandaged hand?). It’s a good thing Mizuho came to her rescue though. In the end the conflict is resolved with Mizuho presenting his argument to the student body and displaying how he looks with the ribbon on in an effort to dispel the contradiction evident in Takako’s decision. One thing I liked about this episode a lot was Mizuho’s approach to Takako. He didn’t see it as a battle or was adamant about how wrong or incorrect her verdict was but instead maintained a civil approach and managed to stay at peace with Takako at the end. Or at least that’s what he wanted. In the end Takako reminisces over what occured and questions whether or not Mizuho is really her friend. Oh no, is this a rough time for MizuhoxTakako? D: I hope not.

Some ending notes: I don’t know what it is…but Kana reminds me of a character I’ve seen before especially because of her big bow. Maybe it’s a character from another anime or a game I’ve played…

Also, if you (the readers) don’t know by now, Takako is my favorite character in OtoBoku.
