The NEXT ASOS Brigade Voice Choice - KYON?!?!
Okay, it’s Kyon’s turn now.
Firsly, I just have to say, that none of these are what I found to be the right Kyon. However, I will say that one of them had that aspect of Kyon. With a little directing, he might just pull it off. Here’s a hint though; don’t vote for 5. I dunno why the hell these 20 people voted for that guy. I personally saw that as an intentional joke. I mean, even the audio is crap.
Does it seem harder and harder every audition, or is it just me? Oh noes, that means our goddess of Bouken will clearly be the last one to choose. Snaps. For all we know, The World As You Know It Is About To End.

Impressions/Thoughts:
This episode screams fanserivce. I mean really, it was straight up R-15. What with Lavinia running around naked and breasts (with nipples) bouncing all over the place. I had no other response other than “WTF?!” at those scenes. They were hilarious but I was beginning to wonder if this was the same S-Strain that contained so much angst and death just a few episodes before. Aside from that I also found the scenes with Emily very cute. To her searching for a way around the security doors to stealing Ralph’s coat so that she could travel to the planet where Sara and friends are stationed at the moment. Lavinia’s pranks went a bit too far at the end though and caused the other Emily to be discarded in the trash. I’m sure the next episode will have Sara going to search for her but that also means she’s going to meet the real Emily!
Otome wa Boku ni Koishiteru Ep. 10

Okay. I said episode 9 was my favorite episode so far but now this one has overtaken it and pushed it to second. I felt that it was doen brilliantly. In particular I’m focusing on the play. The music was well done and the characters were at their most believable (in both the play and regular story). I loved how Mizuho saved Takako from humiliation when her entire dress tore off her body. The kiss…that kiss seemed ‘almost’ passionate in my eyes. It was beautifully presented as well and only further strengthens the MizuhoxTakako pairing.

Now this is what I call a great episode (and my favorite). It was much better than the last (and ended the character-centric episodes) and highlighted my favorite characters: Takako, Mizuho, and Mariya. When the drama was mentioned and the title “Romeo & Juliet” was said I instantly knew the leads were going to be Takako and Mizuho.
It was priceless seeing Takako get so flustered when she found out about the kissing scenes. She’s so cute when she blushes.
Also, as the title of the episode suggested, Mariya’s feelings are starting affect the way she acts towards Mizuho. I’m pretty sure she likes Mizuho but is struggling with them for some reason. She pretty much reacts that way the entire episode.
Otome wa Boku ni Koishiteru Ep. 8

Impressions/Thoughts:
Yet another character-centric episode and this time it’s Yukari. This episode is basically about her (deceased) older sister and dealing with feelings of worthlessness. Those feelings stem from her trying to “catch up” with her older sister in track (who I assume was outstanding). Of course, Mizuho and everyone else (especially Ichiko) help her overcome her feelings of worthlessness in the end. Overall, it wasn’t one of my favorite episodes but it was good enough for the purpose of following Yukari’s story. One thing that did stick with me through the episode is the interaction between Mizuho and Takako. They seem to be getting more friendly with each passing episode. Makes me wonder how things will go between them in the end, especially with Mariya’s feelings being the subject of the next episode…
No commentsASOS Brigade’s 3rd Choice - ESPER!!!
It’s that time again. We’ve got Mikuru, Yuki, and now it’s the homo’s turn. Wait, who’s the one that decided he was GAR for Kyon anyway? Oh whatever. The point is he has not four, but five choices to choose from. I can recognize the first choice as the ever so awesome Johnny Young Bosch and the third as Steve Staley. The rest I have no clue.
As much as I like JYB, I’m not sure if that even sounded like Itsuki. It was great acting, I’ll say that much, but it’s like it wasn’t even for Itsuki’s voice. Well, that’s just my opinion anyways. Start the vote!
1 commentCODE GEASS Lelouch of the Rebellion Ep. 11

Impressions/Thoughts:
Oh my god. This episode was godly. The action was so intense I was literally sitting not he edge of my seat! The Guren Mk II vs. Lancelot battle was awesome! And of course I was rooting for Kallen.
Heh, Suzaku really thought he had Zero/Lelouch but didn’t count on C.C. coming to the rescue. Speaking of which…I found the scenes after she arrived very interesting. She was showing Suzaku images of the past that were obviously freaking him out to the point of extreme fear (of his father it seems). I’m guessing Suzaku was a bad boy and killed him? That’d be quite interesting. XD
Highschool of the Dead ch. 5

I’ll be short with this review.
Awesome chapter. New girl (Rika) with huge breasts and killer shooting skills. Shizuka-sensei raking her hands over Takashi’s body. Saeko showing off her nice ass. This manga just keeps getting better and better.
Oh, and do please support the artists when HSotD becomes a book.
Kara no Kyoukai to be Animated!

That’s right, and news is coming straight from the MOONPHASE Diary. Kara no Kyoukai, a novel from writer Kinoko Nasu and artist Takashi Takeuchi (the founders of TYPE-MOON), is going to be animated. TYPE-MOON fanboys are probably already freaking out at the news and they have much reason. This two-part novel is set in the same universe as Tsukihime (although parallel) and is going to be given the movie-treatment. ufotable and Aniplex are involved in the project for animation work and production respectively.
Oh, and do enjoy the image of Ryogi Shiki from NewType.
D.Gray-man Ep. 13

Impressions/Thoughts:
Interesting changes were made to the story during this episode. For the most part everything about Allen being afraid of walking into the midst of humans and eventually recovering after fighting along side of Lavi was the same. The battle at the end with the Akuma is definitely anime-only material as well as a few other scenes. However, the biggest change was that at the end of the episode Allen’s eye was suddenly healed! Um, what?! It’s not supposed to be healed for quite some time or at least until midway into the next canon arc. I’m not particularly pissed or anything but I’m guessing the writers did that for the upcoming filler episode so I suppose it’ll get injured again or relapse. Pity there was little Lenalee to go around this episode though. She was only shown being treated each time. Oh well, I’ll look forward to her future appearances.
