Kita ze Inbou! - キタぜ陰謀!

Another great episode of S-Strain. It’s interesting to see Sara three months after the disaster that occurred in the first episode. I really feel bad for her though. The girls at her new station really are making it hard for her to be herself and progress the way she wants to. Specifically, a Isabella who seems to have a Queen-complex about herself.

Interesting to see Sara now piloting a GAMBEE. Too bad because I think she belongs in a STRAIN but she lost her MIMIC in the first episode so that’s not possible. At least for now. But I’m glad to see that she’s managed to gain the attention of at least one potential friend: Lotti. She’s a real cutie but a strong force to be reckoned with as her nickname is “Reasoner Queen”. I find it interesting that she showed anger towards the news broadcast that showed Ralph’s image. But, at least that’s one thing she and Sara have in common. That is, a deep sense of betrayal from someone they admired.

Also, Isabella really comes off as a bitch really early. Normally I fall in love with her character-type but she overdoes it too early (although she still gets love from me for Rei Tanaka being her seiyuu!). Seriously, she could ease up a bit on the bullying I think. Aside from Sara working her hardest during the episode, I found it tear jerking that someone would remove her cherished pendant from her locker (although I’m almost certain it was Isabella). It shows that she still loves her brother dearly, despite his apparent betrayal. Another emotional scene was when Sara came across Emily, an abandoned MIMIC with no Reasoner. However the newest mystery is what kind of connection does this MIMIC and the girl that Ralph took into his care in episode one possess? They share the same name and have opposing colored eyes and similar hair color, but that’s where the similarities stop. Hopefully a bit more light will be shed on them in the next few episodes.

The Rundown:

- It has been three months since the massacre in episode one.
- Sara has changed her last name from Werec to Crewe (or Cruz).
- Sara is now piloting a GAMBEE instead of a STRAIN because of the loss of her MIMIC.
- Ralph is now a known traitor who has pledged his allegiance to Deague.
- Sara meets an abandoned MIMIC whose name is Emily. The mysterious girl from episode one is also named Emily.
