Kita ze Inbou! - キタぜ陰謀!

This episode blew me away right at the very beginning. C.C. is absolutely lovely. Why? It’s because her attitude rocks and her appearance is so contrary to how she really behaves. Throughout episodes 1-5 and having only slight airtime aside from the OP sequence, I had a partial impression of C.C. being slightly shy and slight but wow, was I wrong and I love it. Aside from C.C. blowing my mind (don’t get me started on her wearing only a shirt in Lelouche’s room while eating pizza), there was also some focus on other characters this episode. Specifically Suzaku, Euphemia and others.

I liked the little bit with Suzaku and Euphemia walking throughout the city. It was almost like a date, though it probably didn’t seem that way to the two of them. It’s sort of funny how after she reveals herself to be the Imperial Princess that Suzaku immediately scolds himself and bows to her out of apology for being rude earlier. I mean seriously, he’s just had what seems to be a wonderful date with a beautiful girl. He was cool, calm, and collected all throughout but when he finds out she isn’t a ‘normal’ girl his behavior changes towards her. I understand that respect and loyalty is to be given to royalty, but there’s a limit to being ridiculous for being sorry for being yourself.

Also during this episode, I liked the fact that it seems as if Lelouch and C.C. have identified themselves as accomplices/partners. When it comes to having such lofty goals as to bring down or destroy an empire as large as Brittannia one should have at least one trusted companion. Although I’m not exactly sure how strong the trust is between these two just yet.

My final impressions basically revolve around Britannia’s Purists, Princess Cornelia, C.C. and the Geass powers. The Purists, in my opinion, for the most part appear to be blatant racists in a sense. Those guys taking pictures in Shinjuku were looking for a beating by provoking those Japanese guys. I wanted to see them get their faces kicked in but Suzaku had to come in and play the pacifist >_>. Princess Cornelia is hot. Her Knightmare is quite impressive in design and destructive abilities from what I’ve seen so far. And god, did I mention she’s hot? Cornelia definitely scores high on my favorite princesses list. Finally, C.C. and the Geass powers. Does she know exactly what kind of power she gave Lelouch? If so, is she going to help him figure them out or not (basically behaving just like Ryuk from DN)? Well, she didn’t really show any indication about whether or not she knows all the functions of the Geass powers. Although she did hint on the possibility of there being more than one Geass user while talking with Lelouch about his ambitions. Hopefully more will be revealed about C.C. and the Geass powers in the upcoming episodes because they’re both mysteries that have been constantly bugging me since the beginning of the series. Also, I want more mecha action!
