Kita ze Inbou! - キタぜ陰謀!

Since I’m sure a lot of people have seen and/or read summaries and such for episode’s one through two I really won’t be covering those specifically but will reference them.

Firstly, from what I’ve seen so far of this version of Negima, I absolutely love it. The art, the music, the camera angles; everything is just done so well that I can’t help but fanboy in glee. To be honest I didn’t know what to expect coming into Negima!? but my concerns were quickly put to rest. Secondly, after seeing Negi, Kamo, and each of the lovely 31 girls in class 2-A/3-A and hearing all of the familiar seiyuu I couldn’t resist falling for this incarnation of Negima. Lastly, the Baka Rangers rule!

Now then, onto episode 3. The main highlights for this episode was seeing adult Eva and the provisional contract being made and not so much Takamichi being glomped by hypnotized 2-A students (which I was surprised to see were Ayaka and Asakura, among others). Negi didn’t do much against Eva in this episode but we did get hilarious confrontations between her, Asuna and Kamo. Asuna threw her fair share of shoes and a boat at the Shino Vampire. Kamo simply scratched and bit her (that had me cracking up).

The provisional contract was as funny as ever seeing as Asuna is still reluctant to kiss Negi but gets over it rather quickly and smooches him to death (hmmm I wonder where the card is though?). I loved her costume design as they used elements from the suit she’s usually seen wearing in the manga. Chachamaru was as awesome as ever and really seemed to have Asuna cornered but it’s to be expected I think.

Failing to get Negi’s blood once again, Eva realizes (as she’s falling to the ground no less) how warm ‘the light’ is. This is apparently the same light the Thousand Master was referring to when he sealed her all those years back. Of course, our lovely Eva hasn’t given up on Negi’s blood and leaves the scene with Chachamaru (who brought back a beaten Asuna). Surprisingly, an entire year passes by in the closing minutes of the episode and our class of 31 maidens are now known as 3-A. Wow. That was fast but I’m not complaining one bit. Especially after hearing that the real story starts now! I say bring it on!
