D.Gray-man Ep. 3&4

Episode 3 ushered in a mission for both our hero Allen and male tsundere, Kanda. In short, they traveled to Italy in search of a reported Innocence. They find Akuma already there and most of their people, if not all, have been wiped out. Allen and Kanda take care of them but one remains.
The one remaining literally ‘levels up’ and gains a new appearance and apparently new powers as well. Kanda grabs the old guy and little girl who supposedly have the Innocence and leaves Allen behind, saying that he’s not going to save him. Sucks to have such a partner I’d say. Allen fights the Level 2 Akuma but is having trouble. After what he thinks is a successful blow on a copy of the Akuma, he’s attacked from behind by a mirror image of himself and the episode ends in a cliffhanger.
Episode 4:

Yet another great episode of D.Gray-man. I liked the recaps they’re putting in the beginning of the episodes since it helps in not catching up with the manga even if it’s just for a bit. This episode continues on with the Ghost of Martel story and opens with Allen getting beaten by the Level 2 Akuma.
The rest of the episode involves Kanda trying to hide the Ghost of Martel who is actually found out to be Lala, instead of the old guy. They escape from him and eventually Allen (with Kanda and Toma in tow after a slight skirmish with the Akuma earlier on) find Lala and the old man underground.
Next Episode Preview:

Next episode promises to bring us a huge confrontation between Allen and the Level 2 Akuma. I can’t wait to see it as well as see a little surprise animated. It also looks as if it’ll be the end of the Ghost of Martel arc as well.
